Pros
First, the pay is pretty good! Second, Benefits are amazing. They offer emergency child care for a few dollars up to 20 days per child. I highly recommend working here if you like to move to other departments and explore new career opportunities.
Cons
AMEX is a global company so with it comes the stress of not knowing if your department will be outsourced. No security. Also, be prepared for your metrics! A large percentage of your metric is to have excellent satisfaction surveys from card members and merchants. However, they do not remove bad surveys when they aren't linked to you. So, if you get a few Poor ratings and the customer clearly states they were speaking to another rep, you get screwed.
