Pros

Having the ability to work from home is nice but that is where it stops- Some of the customers are nice-(some) Most of the customers are irate- Why call for help if you do not want it?

Cons

The schedule is not family friendly the pay is low (while they will tell you its not) Too Many Outsourced departments so one hand does not know what the other is doing Fear Mongering Systems that do not function Medical Benefits are really high-They honestly just expect you to be happy its even offered Amex talks a good game about being diverse but take a look at the Executive Suite to get your answers.

Pros

They have fantastic pay for the position you're in, and they teach you interesting and engaging utility of modern technology mixed with legacy fundamentals. I've learned quite a bit while AmEx while getting paid more than fairly - I'd recommend a stretch here to whomever may be reading this!

Cons

The Company is huge, and at times it may take more than a little time to get recognized for your abilities and the growth you've had. There's a reason there is a "only way up is out" reputation exists for some enterprise companies...
