Pros
Financially strong company. Good pay. Opportunity to interact with offices in other countries, sometimes travel. Company is beginning to offer flexible / remote work. Lots of good, skilled people to work with.
Cons
No sick time - comes out of your PTO. Like most companies where software is not the company focus, IT is perceived as a financial drain which means CIO is constantly looking to cut costs even though this company has one of the highest employee to revenue dollar ratios. Nice talk about work / life balance, but always need to meet the deadlines no matter what. And once you deliver you are expected to deliver even more. Some vestiages of promotions to manager due to longevity at the company instead of based on skills and performace.
