Pros
Good pay and benefits depending on your job - but definitely do your market research. Benefits (depending on role) include hybrid work, sick time, holidays, generous 401k contribution and match and discounted employee stock purchase plan.
Cons
Inefficient across the board as far as meeting culture and inability to make progress or uniform changes. They operate across the country and you can ask leaders or employees about the same rules or expectations and get a bunch of different answers depending on location. Money is going down the drain every second while extremely high paid individuals spin their wheels in meetings or sit silently contributing nothing. There are a lot of people just biding their time collecting a paycheck and very low engagement. Not diverse by any measure (this is public info on their website) and certainly behind the times as far as company culture. There are a lot of issues with racism and sexism across the organization. There also wasn't much appreciation for innovation or teamwork. I also felt consistent ethical challenges with their business of private water. It is surprising that private water is even allowed given the precious and dwindling nature of fresh water supply and the increasingly critical nature of access due to climate change.
