Pros

Employees are truly empowered to not only share but participate in culture. There is a high level of understanding when you make a mistake and the first thought is not "fire them." Lots of promoting of the positives. Employees are empowered to make decisions based on the core values. Training is facilitated by upper management that include the CEO presenting so you are hearing direct information. Open communication. People are rewarded by performance and not just showing up.

Cons

Decisions from corporate tend to be slower due to size of company. Larger work loads -- can be a positive because as you are not bored. Absenteeism from coworkers make extra work for those that take few days off. Insurance changed to high deductible plans (like many others).

The CULTURE at this company sets it apart from others. They not only talk the talk but they walk the walk.

Pros

Direct manager cares and has goals in place to help improve the department. The core team is made up of great people that work well together.

Cons

Seems like the plant director is actively and intentionally making the entire plant worse. Zero accountability for disrespecting hourly workers even when it's brought to management's attention. Supervisors have completely checked out and refuse to provide the help needed for their people to succeed. Nonexistent advancement opportunities unless you go to church with or are friends with certain managers. Cliquey front office and improper use of employee information. Little to no diversity in management roles. There is a single manager that's a POC and he's their most recent hire.
