Pros

I've been with Americare for 30 years. Family run business - and senior living is all they do. Unlike many new players in the industry they know the resources it takes to operate good communities for the long-term. Ownership invests back into the buildings and into increasing pay and benefits for all levels of employees. But beyond compensation comes culture. Our employees are proud that they make a difference in people's lives. They treat each other like family. And we have fun along the way. I've seen countless individuals advance through the company from front line caregiver to administrator to regional management. It takes commitment but the opportunities are there.

Cons

If you are a person that is looking to be micromanaged at every level - this is not the company for you. We look for folks who shed job descriptions and do what needs to be done to serve our residents. If you're just working for a paycheck - Americare is probably not going to be a good fit.

Pros

The staff here at Moran Manor is very friendly and supportive, creating a positive work environment. The department leadership team is excellent and always willing to step in and help on the floor when needed, which shows strong teamwork. The workplace is also very family-oriented, making it feel welcoming and understanding. Another very rewarding aspect is the opportunity to work closely with residents and their families—building those relationships has a meaningful impact on us as caregivers and makes the work we do feel truly important every day.

Cons

Frequent staff call-ins can sometimes create challenges with coverage and increase the workload for others.
