Pros

The management/corporate team is wonderful! Brian Randow (CEO) has a specific direction and seems to fully understand the ways of the industry, as well as our company. He is great at listening to new ideas, as well as concerns. He is very quick to fix a problem. David Moore (CFO) is focused and considerate. He is doing many things to keep Ameriflight up-to-date when it comes to finances. He's not wasteful (which speaks to his position). Hope Harkey (Director of Recruiting) is knowledgeable and creative. She has repeatedly stepped up to the plate to create new ways of smoothly hiring, recruiting, maintaining. She consistently proves her knowledge of both the industry and her field. She also gives credit where credit is due. The entire company is working out of their boxes to make up for some positions that are being filled or have newly been filled. They all seem to be stepping up to the plate to keep the company happy. Several improvements have been made to pilot quality of life. Higher pay, annual bonuses, a mentor program, more pilots to cover routes, more FO positions, and more!

Cons

Some aspects of the company are out-dated. Some aspects of the company are unorganized.

Pros

The director is a great guy and is an advocate for the specialists. It was a relatively easy job. Good job for somebody right out of college.

Cons

No company culture. Old and Cold atmosphere. Horrible communication, outdated systems. “This is how we’ve always done it” attitude. Turnover rate through the roof in IT and MX, so few things can ever be completed or done correctly. Very old aircraft leading to MX problems and cancellations. Commissions are way below average and the market is very volatile. Do not expect to make 80-100k, more like 50k after taxes. No room for growth. Insurance is bad.
