Pros

The people you work with are great. The location is central to Texas. Flying in their aircraft lets you really use emergency procedures you have only practiced.

Cons

The management is not veteran friendly they almost are jealous of your service. Management waits for a situation to happen then wants to know why you let it happen. They have know plans in place or manuals to follow only wait in the dark for the sky to fall.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We're glad to hear you enjoy the people you work with and that you are having great experiences! We do not discriminate against seniority. In fact, one of our executives is the most senior employee at Ameriflight. We are implementing several changes to the way things were done in the "old days" and that's uncomfortable to some, but we are doing the best we can to get our employees accustomed to the changes. We are also refreshing our plans and introducing new manuals in each department. We recently released our Pilot Administrative Guide and are also working on a mx one. We are constantly working to improve our operations and strengthen our leadership!

Pros

The director is a great guy and is an advocate for the specialists. It was a relatively easy job. Good job for somebody right out of college.

Cons

No company culture. Old and Cold atmosphere. Horrible communication, outdated systems. “This is how we’ve always done it” attitude. Turnover rate through the roof in IT and MX, so few things can ever be completed or done correctly. Very old aircraft leading to MX problems and cancellations. Commissions are way below average and the market is very volatile. Do not expect to make 80-100k, more like 50k after taxes. No room for growth. Insurance is bad.
