Pros
Pay was decent, company vehicle.
Cons
Where do I start...7 years with this company. Many accounts, numerous times of successfully "pulling their bacon out of the fire" with clients after other FMs or account managers made clients upset to the point of threats to cancel our contracts. As years went by, everyone went from a team/family to a number. In an industry where a mechanic is billable at 85% is considered successful, all mechanics must be billable 100 %, every day, every week. Come up a minute short and you spend an hour explaining why. No work? Not their problem, find it. Create it. Get creative with the timeclock. Send the mechanic home early because there is no work? Also unacceptable. 40 hours on the dot, and find a way to bill it. Accounting is horrible, you never know if and when you will be cut off from parts due to lack of payment. Someone calls out, plans vacation or just plain quits? There is no provision for backup or cross training in case of staffing needs. Answer from above? "Figure it out." Finally was given a written warning by the SFM and every item listed in the write up was made up or exaggerated. I sent documentation and proof of the false claims to HR, COO, AMs, and CEO along with my notice. I heard not a word from anyone despite reaching out to the CEO and HR multiple times. After I was gone, it took two Fleet Managers, one Senior Fleet Manager and one Supervisor to do my job, and they all still managed to forget to pay the employees the first week.
