Pros

None Don’t fall for the free food

Cons

Work life balance is bad due to the late night calls. They expect you to come to office by 10 AM in the morning and work till 12 or 1 in the night daily. You will feel like there’s no life outside work at any time of the day due to the 2 shift model. None of the meetings are useful and it’s just senior people rambling on about AI and new ideas to micromanage people. The knowledge transition from the contractor has been absolutely terrible. They’ve been incredibly rude and barely have any useful information to transfer. The company has handled the knowledge transition really poorly and it’s the low level employees who are suffering the consequences. Higher management has zero respect for the folks in India I have over 10 years of experience and by far Amgen has the most toxic work culture and this is being encouraged by the toxic managers who came from service based companies.

Pros

Work from home flexibility and the summer and winter shutdown periods are a nice benefit. Good health insurance.

Cons

Management style can be controlling and micromanaging with expectations that shift without clear communication. Employees are held to high standards but not always given the support or clarity needed to meet them. Performance concerns are documented quickly without full context being considered. Culture does not match the company’s public image.
