Pros
I have worked at Amherst for almost 8 years and really enjoyed it. I've worked across three different departments and have constantly been given opportunities to grow in my career, challenge myself and work with amazing people. The environment is fast paced and changes frequently, but I enjoy it because it's never boring. The Leader that I report to is wonderful and I have learned so much from her. I have also made some wonderful friends and enjoy coming to work each day because of the people that I get to spend time with. The perks are also great - lunch allowances, PTO and insurance benefits are all really strong.
Cons
I have seen Amherst change a lot over the past 8 years and have worked through periods that have been extremely high stress and we've experienced many rounds of lay-offs, which are always difficult.
