Pros

Plenty of opportunities to get involved in projects beyond basic job description. New mentor program helps mentees get familiar with the organization and set up connections across departments. The company employs a good portion of the local community, mostly for union work, but those are relatively high paying jobs for the area. It depends on the department and shift, but for the most part, that sense of community is noticeable in the work environment.

Cons

Changing definitions of quality are causing some much needed re-evaluations of processes and procedures. While the extra work is all for a worthy cause, management sometimes makes it harder than it has to be by sending conflicting messages about how they want things run and not following through with suggested improvements that the majority of the group agree on. Communication as a whole is a major difficulty; the percentage of emails that supervision responds to is disheartening.

Pros

Nice to have 1 hour lunch breaks

Cons

-Engineers don't have enough time to do engineering because they are being controlled by production team. They will overlook quality until it costs them money and then blame the engineers only -about 1 engineer per department and will increase production but not capability -HR lies about the range of pay when being hired -You will get messaged and called before and after working hours and during weekends -no real training. They just hope you don't drown
