It has been good for me

A great Principal makes all the difference. I worked with 4 different principals in the span of 5 years at 2 different schools. At one of the schools, the principal was awful, tons of staff turnover and the district did nothing for several years. At another school, we had 3 different principals, the second was good, the 3rd was great and made it a great place to work.

Low salary, low raises, and low transparency. The superintendent did a lot of "listening tours" but didn't make the changes that we sought, year after year. Additionally, he would use the listening tours as time to talk about his own initiatives and plans. This was all after hours on our own time.
