Pros

Amway used to be a wonderful place to work, and when I started, I did so with the expectation that I would retire from there. However, with both original founders now deceased, and the 2nd generation stepping further away from day-to-day operations, the focus seems to have shifted from being a phenomenal employer to doing whatever needs to be done to report greater revenue no matter the cost. This has led to the feeling of abandonment for many. Thus, Amway has HEAVILY moved in the direction of utilizing Managed Service Providers and contractors rather than hiring good talent and developing and growing them internally. After 2 downsizing exercises since 2019, its evermore apparent that dedicated employees with long tenures no longer hold the value they once did, and Amway is willing to let them move on with no effort to try and retain them. As a global organization, simple things like working out of state is not an option. "Flexible work" exists but only within tight parameters. Benefits and pay are both decent and are likely on par with industry standards, but Amway has a rough road ahead as many of the people that have deep knowledge, understanding, and care for their core business are dropping like flies for better opportunities.

Cons

Slow to change and adapt. Not super competitive in the hiring arena; which is why they have had to add SIGNIFICANT referral bonuses for some of the roles they are struggling to fill especially in Technology.
