- Off-hand corporate management: This could be a pro for some offices, but for the office I worked it in, it’s a con. Amwins appoints “branch leaders” that may as well run a middle school extra-curricular club. That is the behavior of some of these so-called “vice presidents” and “AVPs” of this company. - Crooked Brokers: Some of them may actually be the worst people you’ll ever meet. I always knew Insurance was an “old-school” industry, but I never thought anyone can get away with the things these brokers will openly boast about doing - They lie…. A lot: if you ARE trying to get a job at this company, ask the right questions: “what are ALL of my responsibilities coming into this role” and “what is a timeframe I can expect to reach my potential goals”. Get all that in writing. These are rough people with a lot of power. They will con you out of your work and time you put in for them. Again… get everything in writing before you are hired.
