Pros

Came from a huge tech company and my 1 year anniversary is approaching in August in Enterprise. Anaplan is night a day better than the last place I was at. My current RVP & AVP are some of the brightest and most hard working guys I've ever had the pleasure of working for. The territories are strong, you have a strong village of internal employees assisting on deals. No problems at all closing business, even through the "recession". The product itself is legit amazing, so much so that we just poached an exec from Google. The pay is great, the work life balance is even better. Thoma Bravo has been getting heat on here, but its all noise from disgruntled ex-employees in my opinion, or people who have been here for like 7 years and are used to the "wild wild west Anaplan". As long as your hungry and ready to roll your sleeves up, Anaplan is the place to be right now in tech/software sales.

Cons

With the new Thoma Bravo acquisition, the leaders are working really hard on impacting the business for explosive growth. Some growing pains, tough seeing people get laid off, but its for the betterment of long term growth and product advancement. Other than that, no complaints, love it here!

Pros

One thing I genuinely appreciated was that the C-suite seemed invested in keeping everyone in the loop. The monthly town halls felt like more than just a formality and gave you a real sense of where the company was headed. When you had a good stretch, people noticed. The company feels like it has real momentum and on a macro level.

Cons

Leadership was inconsistent in my experience and seemed to depend heavily on which manager you ended up with. It often felt like luck of the draw. I personally found the planning process to be more reactive than strategic, with urgency only kicking in once results were already suffering rather than getting ahead of it. The workplace culture also had a gossip element that I found draining over time. My biggest frustration was around performance recognition. I observed situations where reported numbers didn't seem to reflect reality, yet the consequences appeared minimal at best. I would have liked to see more transparency and accountability around how top performers were identified and rewarded, because in my experience the current approach didn't always feel equitable to those who were playing by the rules.
