Pros
Great product. Good people trying their best to not become exasperated by the toxic culture.
Cons
My feedback is similar feedback to everything else posted over the years. Toxic culture driven from the top-down. The CEO is a culture-killer. It's sad because people come to Anatomage excited to have a new role but that excitement fades fairly quickly. A typical day in the office consists of walking on eggshells around the CEO while trying to complete a poorly defined project without enough people to complete it. You must be prepared to accomplish tasks within timelines that are typically unreasonable without enough employees for the workload. Worse yet, it is not uncommon to work tirelessly on something only to have the CEO change his mind and completely disrupt a project. Timelines won't change but the CEO's mind does so you have to double-up your efforts to hit your deadlines. The CEO is disconnected from the workforce. If you come here, do not expect to be inspired by him. HE IS THE OPPOSITE of an inspirational leader. Your managers will do their best to keep up morale but the CEO will almost always do something to ruin it. The CEO is known for berating and belittling people (sometimes in front of others) and people try to do everything to avoid this from happening which means you’re always working in fear of it. He does not trust his people but instead spends time trying to micromanage all departments and there is no investment in the people. The CEO talks about the importance of investing in the employees but he never does anything about it. There are no training programs or extracurricular offerings to improve anyone’s skillset. You either have the skills you need or you won't last long. The lack of professional development is probably due to the fact that there is no HR department and anyone with significant experience in HR does not last long at Anatomage. The CEO does not get along with heads of HR so the HR department consists of the CEO and the CFO. In short, if you have a complaint, you need to take it to an outside council. If you make a claim against the company internally, it could cost you your job. Not a great feeling but that’s how they operate and that’s part of what creates the culture here. The benefits are sub-par compared to similar companies in the area. They offer free lunch but that isn't enough to overcome the toxic culture. It would be nice to work somewhere that you felt excited about but this is not the place. Even though the products are great, the culture will beat you down. This is not a place where employees are inviting their friends to join. Instead, they will tell their friends to find ANYTHING else and that is just sad.
