Compensation is good. People are extremely hardworking, and must have the thickest skin.
Cons
Leadership in Shared Services at Andersen is absolutely atrocious. It was by far the worst, most hostile work environment I've EVER encountered in my career. I have an MBA, have worked at numerous large and small companies over the last 20 years, and I've never been treated as I was at Andersen. Most, if not all of the leaders in that department lead by instilling fear and anxiety in their employees, bullying, condescending, threatening, and inevitably bulldozing. During my short time at Andersen, there was zero developing, positive coaching, mentoring, inspiring, confidence building, or relationship building from the leaders. Only degradation and confidence crushing. They need to take a course in Leadership 101, as well as Human Decency 101.
