Pros

Intense (humanly impossible) schedule makes time fly. No time for boredom. They will send you freebies of DVD's around the holidays, if you're FT.

Cons

Too many to realistically mention: - No regard for family or work/life balance. Fiscal schedule might tell you that you're off on a holiday, but the fine print at bottom states "unless business dictates working" and they will change your "off" time to "on" time minutes before you're leaving for your holiday. - Frequent emails and reports from District Managers stating whatever low-performing stores you have..even when performance is out of your hands in many categories. Then, they broadcast that out to the entire district, so that they can embarrass you in front of your peers. - Store personnel will destroy any work you have accomplished to accommodate their best interests. You will spin your wheels trying to fix what you've already fixed the day before. - No raises. I didn't get one in six years. When I did finally, it was pennies per hour. - No assistance. You are on your own for large projects. Company does not provide team efforts or any inkling of support. They tell you "make it happen". Even the best, most driven individual cannot begin to physically be in all the places they expect you to be, much less complete the mammoth tasks assigned. - Everything has to be done in 40 hours, because time-and-a-half is considered profanity to this company. Get it all done in 40, or be written up. - Multi-billion dollar company cannot pay for a decent network for all their devices to run on. Most times, the critical files you need for work are not available due to lack of connection. And, of course, the rep is held accountable for projects not completed due to network downtime. - Make your best efforts to collaborate and plan major resets with store personnel, but if they don't show up for a reset, it's your fault, not theirs. Your DSM will come in and rip into you in the store when a project fails due to "you not communicating well enough". - Your manager will promote a slew of reasons why they can fire you during weekly conference calls -- This is a blatant attempt to glean as much extra work out of a rep as possible, without ever offering incentives for self-improvement. This saves them loads of money on overtime and pay raises, because you should do the impossible to simply keep your job. - Be prepared to make Walmart staff furious for doing your job. The more proactive and thorough you are, the more you get yelled at: (i.e taking product to claims department for return) and approaching store managers constantly about selling promotions into their store.. They don't want to talk to you, and will even say that to your face. Way more..but I've grown tired of typing in this particular box..

Pros

Absolutely nonexistent. The district managers saw my last review and cut my hours from full time to 15 hours or less per week.

Cons

District Manager manipulates the instore activity reports to make her team look fabulous. This means the work did not get completed correctly and the next employee to service the store will be buried in extra work because DM is a cheater.
