Pros

got free movies but only once

Cons

Just about everything was a con…I feel like I got conned to be honest. I was hired under the pretense of doing books, cds, some video and magazines and car batteries. Car batteries are too heavy to lift but if you say you cannot lift the weight on the application, you are immediately disqualified. I was told to lie and say I could lift the weight. “Occasionally” they said I would have like “A” General Mills product or something to check on and occasional T Mobile service. “Occasional” is a huge lie. Once I was hired I was informed I was basically a T Mobile rep. Now if I had known this I would not have accepted the job. T Mobile is a horrible phone company and I am not a fan. Plus, if I wanted to spend my work days worrying about cellular phones I would have applied AT A PHONE STORE! You have to do tons of surveys all week long from everything from pet supplies to stickers on products. There are constant “projects” that are way too much for one person..and I will say sometimes the full timer helps but mostly they walk off and leave the part timer to do everything. It is like slave labor. The Company has bitten off more than it can chew and is so worried about stealing another companies accounts they do not care that they are burdening their employees with too much work. All the online reviews were true about how the part timers do all the work while the full timers get the pay. All the full timer did was walk around and talk to people..not business talk..gossip. It was a very “do as I say , not as I do” job. There is ZERO integrity within the company. The full timers tell you to do one thing one way one day, and then when you do, they throw fits and say you did it wrong and tell you another way. It is like working for a bipolar company. You spend half the day running around the stores looking for stuff in the back because Walmart does NOT care about anything and you can find your merchandise hiding anywhere in the back. You can spend an hour just trying to locate boxes or trying to straighten up your bin that Walmart threw other junk in. In essence you are working for the politics of both Anderson and Walmart and neither company has their ducks in a row. It is hot and hectic and back breaking with zero reward. No real benefit, no decent pay and no discounts on anything. It does not matter if you work hard. All the full timers do is complain that “people just don’t want to work” while they stand around doing nothing but talking. Not only that but reps from other companies come in and tag along like puppies and don’t do their work and pull the full timers attention away because they want to gossip about things. Walmart employees “tattle” if they see you using your phone which is ridiculous because part timers need their phones to call help desk and can be on hold up to an hour. Oh and if your full timer is with you, you can forget about taking any breaks even though it is the LAW. You only get a break when THEY decide THEY want to sit down which isn’t often. Funny how gossip can make the day go by for them but the person doing the manual labor doesn’t get the break they need. It is very high school from start to finish. I would suggest no one ever waste their time applying. The only people that give the company “good” reviews are the full timers (usually DM’s) who get paid to do nothing, or the poor sheep who just started and don’t realize how quickly they will be treated inhumane. Even my full timer was talking about looking for another job because the company is going downhill with no morals.

Pros

Absolutely nonexistent. The district managers saw my last review and cut my hours from full time to 15 hours or less per week.

Cons

District Manager manipulates the instore activity reports to make her team look fabulous. This means the work did not get completed correctly and the next employee to service the store will be buried in extra work because DM is a cheater.
