During my time here, I observed a significant lack of departmental stability. I was hired for a newly created role to consolidate the functions of several previous teams. This required a heavy workload, including frequent nights and weekends over a six-month period to ensure a successful transition.
The department experiences very high turnover; in my experience, it was rare to see colleagues stay longer than a year. This constant churn results in a significant loss of institutional knowledge, which impacts overall efficiency and team continuity.
Despite receiving public recognition for my contributions, I was let go without any prior warning or performance plan. Most notably, I was asked by management to complete all pending deliverables over a weekend to "clear my plate" for a scheduled vacation. Immediately after submitting that work, I was terminated. The role has not been reposted, which suggests the termination was part of a headcount reduction strategy rather than an individual performance issue.
