Pros

In my 4 years at Angie’s List the most valuable take away is definitely the co workers you become so close with, when things got tough you never felt alone.

Cons

I can fully say I LOVED my job for the first two and a half years of emoloyement. Everything from culture to compensation was more than enjoyable. But that’s not what this company is today. Employees (especially those in account management) are always told they are the engine of this company and that they drive revenue. Unfortunately, now account management is being asked to continue to sell a product, renew product and increased pricings of 30 percent on average, for a product they won’t put money into. The product is broken and doesn’t provide the type of quality traffic for its clients the way it once did. Management meetings have been held, multiple employers have voiced all of this at town halls with the new CEO, all of which they brush under the rug. Angie’s List was once an amazing company and something I took pride in when asked what company i worked for. It’s truly sad that even with the merger and the money available to be put back into the product to begin to take care of their clients again that they don’t see what they are asking people to continue to sell is morally wrong. They will continue to lose their top talent because of this. A sinking ship.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. While I’m glad to know you feel supported by your co-workers, I’m disappointed to hear your feelings regarding how we’ve grown. We take employee feedback seriously and are actively partnering across both brands to follow up on the latest rounds of ideas and suggestions about how we can improve. I appreciate the feedback, and your time spent serving our customers. – Cathy Hardin, SVP, Sales and Operations Strategy

Pros

It’s work from home. Two 15 minute breaks and an hour lunch.

Cons

They are a very dishonest company. The hype up the job but in reality what you’ll be doing is spending all day calling random numbers in which about 95% of those people either won’t answer the phone or if they do, you will be hung up on within like two seconds. Not to mention the Angie reputation is so bad. It’s actually notoriously bad that even if you are able to get someone on the phone for more than a couple of minutes they’ll still end up hanging up just because of how bad Angie is. In my opinion Angie is a dishonest company selling a dishonest service because most of the leads they sell are fake and most of the leads they give their employees to call are also fake and if you don’t make these outrageous sales numbers you’re fired it’s a reason why the employee benefits don’t kick in until three months in because they know 95% of the people they hire won’t still be working there in three months because they will not hit the sales quotas. The only good thing about this job is its work from home really. And the hot leads they say they have 95% are fake or just someone who looked at a spam email. It’s actually comical how deceptive this company is.
