Pros

This is a great company who truly values work life balance. 100% remote and most people here have a winning team spirit. There are a lot of opportunities to win extra cash through raffles and contests. They also give a lot time off for holidays and have great insurance options. They seem to only promote from within so your manager has been in your shoes and knows how to coach you through dry spells. The training is very in depth, effective, and interactive. There’s also big incentives for you to do well after training such as the big sales cash bonuses, up to $5k!

Cons

This job can be very isolating, yes you are on zoom calls with your team all day, but you’re still physically alone. After a few months that gets old. The hourly pay is pretty low considering the standards they have for you. They expect you to get someone to spend $300+ by the end of your phone call. That takes some true talent and I think needs to be paid out better per hour. The commission is focused heavily on retention, so you don’t make a lot per sale, but more so on how long the customer stays, which is sort of out of your control. Making a sale is tricky, bc it’s not counted a sale until the customer passes a background check and all data is entered correctly. So before it’s a sale (approved) it’s considered a submit, and you don’t get paid on submits, even though you worked hard to win that customer over. The leads you get are overworked (usually called 2-3x or more in a 14 day period) and most people hang up when they hear Angi. So to get a sale is a big deal bc out of the 100+ individual voicemails you make each day, you might talk to only a handful of people that will take the time to listen to your pitch. You may be good on the phone but that isn’t enough. If you go a month without consistently getting 2 approvals each week you will get fired. This job is all about lead quality, talk time and close rate. If any of these are not good you will lose your job just as fast as you got it. That is why training groups are so big and so often, because they churn and burn through people. You’ve got to be mentally tough, not just for rude people on the phone, but for the rough sales weeks where all you leave are voicemails. You can have a week where you get 5 sales in one day and go 2 weeks with no sales. Again it all falls back on the quality of leads which is what your manager provides. The online leads (easy signups of customer who call in and want our service) go to reps who sells the most. So if you go through a rough patch, or go on medical leave and then come back, you get knocked out of the group who gets the easy leads bc your close average went down and you’ve got to start over.

Thank you for sharing your Angi journey with us! We appreciate all the examples you provided that help add context to your rating and overall experience. It's wonderful to hear that you enjoy our culture of work-life balance and the benefits we extend to full-time team members. Throughout the organization there are many pathways for upward mobility which we're excited you recognize as well as sales incentives to reward those who put their training to good use. We understand sales is hard and can at times be inconsistent based on many of the examples you provided. Additional training opportunities are a tool sales representatives have access to as well as monitored calls and feedback from our QA team to help with overall conversion. We want everyone to be successful on our sales teams and sometimes that takes tapping into different internal resources. While some leads are warmer than others, we source and circulate them the same way other companies do in our industry. We also provide the same benchmarks for individuals to obtain the warmer leads to ensure equity for all. Some of our more recent changes have been with our mission in mind, to become the home for everything home. To achieve this lofty mission, it'll take time like many of the changes we've implemented. While change is not always easy, we hope you begin to see the benefits of them within your role soon. - Tom Cheatham, SVP Sales Strategy

Pros

After almost five years with Angi, I can honestly say I'm grateful every day that I get to put on my Angi jersey and be part of this incredible company. Recruiting isn't just my job—it's something I'm truly passionate about, and I love helping talented people find opportunities where they can grow and succeed. What makes Angi special isn't just the work we do; it's the people. I've been fortunate to work under outstanding leadership and have the best manager I could ask for. Their support, encouragement, and investment in my growth have played a huge role in my career, and I'm thankful for it every day. One of my favorite traditions is that every work anniversary, I receive a handwritten note from our leadership along with a small gift. It's a simple gesture, but it speaks volumes about the culture here. Those personal touches make employees feel valued, appreciated, and recognized—not just for what they do, but for who they are. Angi has given me opportunities to grow professionally while surrounding me with leaders who genuinely care about their people. I'm proud to be part of this team and excited about the future we're building together. If you're looking for a place where you can make an impact, continue growing, and be supported by exceptional leadership, I can't recommend Angi enough.

Pros

It’s work from home. Two 15 minute breaks and an hour lunch.

Cons

They are a very dishonest company. The hype up the job but in reality what you’ll be doing is spending all day calling random numbers in which about 95% of those people either won’t answer the phone or if they do, you will be hung up on within like two seconds. Not to mention the Angie reputation is so bad. It’s actually notoriously bad that even if you are able to get someone on the phone for more than a couple of minutes they’ll still end up hanging up just because of how bad Angie is. In my opinion Angie is a dishonest company selling a dishonest service because most of the leads they sell are fake and most of the leads they give their employees to call are also fake and if you don’t make these outrageous sales numbers you’re fired it’s a reason why the employee benefits don’t kick in until three months in because they know 95% of the people they hire won’t still be working there in three months because they will not hit the sales quotas. The only good thing about this job is its work from home really. And the hot leads they say they have 95% are fake or just someone who looked at a spam email. It’s actually comical how deceptive this company is.
