Pros

-Flexible with remote work -Unlimited PTO

Cons

This entire company is built on deception and lies, from the top down... -The product itself is horrible and preys on small businesses. It has a terrible reputation in the home services industry. Ask any small business owner that has worked with Angi or been cold called by them a hundred times and they will tell you the same thing. -Management made the decision to rebrand and launch a new mobile app as the company's main platform within the last couple of years. When the number of app downloads fell short of their projections, they informed us that part of our annual bonus would ONLY be received if the Angi app hit a certain number of downloads. No one agreed to this before it was announced. Management made a miscalculated decision and then decided to punish its own employees for it. There is zero accountability for leadership at this company. -Similarly, management loves to preach about "career growth" and "getting you where you want to be," but as soon as you make a mistake or express a different viewpoint, they will throw you under the bus and cast you out. I saw this happen to multiple hard-working colleagues on several occasions. -Talent acquisition leadership constantly tells its own recruiters/sourcers to leave positive reviews on Glassdoor, to try and drown out the many real (negative) reviews from disgruntled employees. Just look at the amount of recent, short reviews left by current Angi recruiters with zero cons about the company. It is painfully obvious.

We appreciate you sharing your Angi journey with us and are sorry to learn your experience wasn't great. It's nice to hear you enjoyed the benefits extended to team members who call Angi home during your time with us, however, we'd like to clarify a few of the other points mentioned within your review. One of our core values is "Start With the Customer" and we've built many rewarding relationships that have helped small business grow on our platform - many of these testimonials have been shared in companywide Fireside chats. We believe in tailoring our offerings to our customers to help them meet their goals based on their industry and location. The organization's rebrand was an exciting step forward as we embark on our new mission to become the home for everything home! Like many companies in this space, maintaining a healthy influx of mobile traffic helps generate repeat customers and provides the best experience for both homeowners and pro's leveraging our services. Leadership believes that we achieve true success collectively when we are striving towards common goals. These goals are constructed with the hopes of team members surpassing these goals to acquire higher earning potential and we've made considerable progress since these rollouts were communicated. Regarding career growth, our goal is to have individuals learn (and grow) as professionals here. For this reason we offer multiple avenues for additional training, working on cross functional projects and opportunities to take on additional responsibilities. Individuals who consistently surpass quarterly goals have seen considerable growth in their Angi career and we encourage team members looking to do the same to schedule discussions with their managers on how they can work towards taking their career to the next level. At Angi, we grow through feedback, which is why we send out monthly pulse surveys and publish high level results publicly at Fireside chats as well as encourage teams (from recruiting to sales and beyond) to share their employment journey with us on multiple platforms. This helps us celebrate wins and identify areas where continual growth is needed. We appreciate you sharing your Angi journey with us and wish you the best in your next venture. - Tom Cheatham, SVP Sales Strategy

Pros

The culture is generally positive, and leadership is accessible. Management is willing to meet with employees and listen to concerns. There are talented people throughout the organization, and the work can be rewarding if you enjoy sales and helping businesses grow.

Cons

The biggest challenge is the compensation structure. The company promotes uncapped commissions, but many employees feel earnings are effectively controlled through continually increasing quotas and changing performance targets. Revenue and nominal goals are adjusted so frequently that it can feel like the finish line is always moving. What's particularly frustrating is that the majority of the sales team often struggles to reach 100% of quota, yet goals continue to rise. This creates the perception that compensation expense is being managed through quota increases rather than by allowing top performers to fully benefit from the revenue they generate. Over time, this can discourage high achievers. Employees who consistently perform well are often expected to deliver significantly more results each year just to maintain the same level of compensation. When exceptional performance is met with ever-increasing targets instead of proportionally increasing rewards, motivation suffers.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are glad to hear that you find management accessible and enjoy working alongside the talented individuals across our team. We also hear your concerns regarding our compensation structure and quota adjustments. Our goal is always to balance company growth with fair, motivating, and rewarding compensation for our sales team. Your point about the importance of consistency and transparency in goal-setting is well-taken. Thank you again for helping us identify areas where we can improve.
