Pros

About half the employees are nice but fools. The other half will stab you in the back and look for any chance to do so.

Cons

They work you 50 hours, run you all over the state in their rental cars, force you to spend more time writing about how you spend your time than actually working, force you to give up your holiday and weekends to deploy for emergencies in towns with no hotel rooms left; keeping you away from home for three weeks straight and have to review training videos depicting how hateful older white employees are to younger hires of color. The costs of all their deductibles gobbles up 65% of your pay check. They trick you into buying over priced life/health insurance. It all geared to taking advantage of the employees like lowly slaves.

Pros

Very smart and hard working people that are dedicated to the mission.

Cons

Although there is an organizational structure, it often isn't followed and causes duplication of efforts and lines of communication.

Pros

USDA APHIS has an important mission, protecting the American food supply from disease. When I’m working I am driven by this mission to do everything I can to succeed.

Cons

There is always more work to be done than you could do even if you worked all day and night. It is stressful trying to balance the demands of an important mission with your personal life.
