Pros
Colleagues are smart, passionate, innovative. Middle and junior level colleagues are in it for the right reasons. Senior executives are in it for the mountain of money and bonuses they receive.
Cons
You will work yourself to death with zero opportunities for advancement. This organization is so full of it's own hubris, whenever you object to any one of the terrible ideas they have it will be thrown back into your face and you will be told you can just go work somewhere else. You will be exhausted, you'll work most weekends, and be significantly underpaid. The only people who receive promotions are leaders at the top. Every six weeks they anoint them with more titles and money and every one else gets nothing. The org raises over 150 million dollars a year and when it comes time to advocate for raises, you'll be told there's no money in the budget but to keep you on they'll give you 1%. Meanwhile every single day you will be under siege as the CEO repeatedly slams the organization into one ice berg after another. You'll be hated by just about everyone and at the end of the day you'll feel hollow wondering what in the hell you're doing there. The CEO is also petrified of the Trump administration yet has absolutely no qualms about demonizing democrats.
