Pros

Good work-life balance (most of the time). UK side has fully embraced hybrid working. Decent benefits package, a lot better than it used to be with addition of YuLife and other schemes Locally at least some good people on the team that are fun to work with Interesting technologies used in day-to-day work

Cons

As company is owned by Goldman Sachs, the main focus is hiring people to work on GS projects. Smaller clients largely get ignored and anyone placed with these smaller clients basically vanishes into a black hole. Salary offers are mixed and dependant on location. If you're in London you can earn 100K+ but if you're further north expect to struggle getting over the 30K barrier. Very little scope for career progression in your main job if you're not on GS, otherwise requires heavy investment and lots of overtime getting involved in company initiatives. If you're just looking to do the 9-5 this is not for you. Several people were promised promotion after recent review cycle but the transition to a more senior role never happened. Scattered technical leadership, lacks someone responsible for engineering teams. Locations and projects are siloed, very little interaction between US, UK and India. Feel like separate companies and goals are not aligned between territories. You don't really engage with anyone outside of your project team. Company under aggressive merger and acquisition process. Feels like it is growing too fast without any real thought behind it. Original management team have departed, not the same organisation I joined, losing its identity. US based company but very much led by an Indian dominated board with a very Indian way of thinking. Not progressive. Does shout about diversity and inclusion but overall policy is unclear, particularly in regard to LGBTQ+ individuals. Small amount of female employees, large amount of workforce is from an Indian or Asian background. Currently experiencing a very high rate of employee turnover, lots of people leaving the company.

Pros

Apexon provides strong exposure to cutting-edge AI and enterprise technology initiatives. There are opportunities to work with talented teams across data, AI/ML, cloud, and digital engineering projects. Leadership encourages innovation and creativity, and employees are often given ownership over impactful client-facing work. Fast-paced environment with room to learn new skills and contribute to high-visibility initiatives.

Cons

Like many consulting organizations, priorities and timelines can shift quickly depending on client needs. Processes and communication between teams can occasionally be improved, especially during fast-moving projects. Workloads may fluctuate during major delivery periods. Bonus opportunities are available, but they are generally more accessible at higher organizational levels, which can feel limiting for some employees earlier in their career progression.
