Pros

A well known brand, and business that's growing like crazy (raised series D funding). It's a name thats "buzzing" in the tech industry so having it on your resume will make quite a positive impact.

Cons

Completely unorganized, utter chaos, and constantly changing. You will be given set OKR's for the quarter, only to have them completely change in the next so it constantly feels like your work doesn't matter. Moral is low, self-esteem is gone, and leadership is constantly quitting.

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. First, we want to acknowledge your contributions over the past three years—your tenure is a testament to your dedication, and we truly appreciate your efforts in helping Apollo.io grow during this exciting phase. We’re glad to hear that you value Apollo.io’s reputation in the industry and recognize the positive impact of being part of a fast-growing, Series D-funded company. However, we’re deeply sorry to hear about your concerns regarding organization, morale, and leadership. Regarding changing priorities and OKRs: As a rapidly scaling company, we know change can sometimes feel overwhelming. That said, we are actively working on improving our planning processes to ensure greater clarity, consistency, and alignment with our long-term goals. Feedback like yours helps us focus on areas where we can do better. On employee morale and retention: The well-being of our team is a top priority, and we’re taking steps to improve how we support our employees. From investing in leadership training to rolling out more transparent communication practices, we’re committed to creating an environment where everyone feels valued and supported. Also, all collectively taking a week's time off over the holidays season to rejuvenate and spend time with family and friends. Leadership style and audits: We acknowledge that feedback and evaluation processes need to feel fair and constructive. We’re re-evaluating how we provide feedback and make decisions, aiming for a more collaborative approach that emphasizes growth over surprise audits. Lastly, your feedback about the CEO’s leadership style is important. While our CEO’s product-focused vision has driven our growth, we understand the need to balance this with fostering an open and inclusive culture where every voice is heard. This is something we’re working on as we scale. We take all feedback seriously, and we’re committed to listening, learning, and making Apollo.io a better place for everyone. If you’d like to share more details or suggestions, we encourage you to reach out to a member of HR or myself directly. Thank you again for sharing your perspective and helping us grow—not just as a company, but as a team. Sincerely, Declan

Pros

The company gives engineers a lot of ownership and trust. You are encouraged to take initiative, make decisions, and drive projects end to end rather than just following instructions. The pace is fast, but in a good way — teams move quickly, experiment often, and are generally open to adopting whatever tools, processes, or technical approaches are best for the company and customers.

Cons

Nothing major comes to mind. Like any fast-moving company, there can be moments of ambiguity, but that is also part of the ownership and high-impact environment.

Pros

Only the fact that it's remote work, and maybe not even that.

Cons

Not even sure where to start with this company. This is probably one of the most erratic companies I have NOT had the pleasure of being a part of. The lack of structure within job roles is alarming. There were several employees that I worked with who literally had no idea what their true job descriptions were, with the responsibilities and priorities within roles shifting almost daily, leaving people stressed and confused. Upper management is absolutely clueless about the day-to-day, nor do they care to be involved. The expectation is to "just do" and "do it fast" without question, even at the expense of your time, mental health ect. I honestly have never experienced such a company absent a clear framework. They use about 100 different "productivity tools," which makes it close to impossible to work cohesively and produce high-quality work. Everyone is basically operating on their own and "hoping" for successful results. The turnover is super high, and people are leaving left and right, which is a huge red flag. I would not at all recommend this company if you are looking for a place that offers any kind of structure, work-life balance, or an organized environment.
