Pros

Appfolio is the best company ever. The leadership team is top notch and does a great job of keeping all teams focused and motivated. Every year I think the company might start to slow down, but we continue to hit goals and work towards the bigger picture! I really don't agree with the other reviews that talk about "no growth opportunity" or "underpaid," etc. I've had multiple promotions and can see the path for continued, upward growth in Customer Success AND across the company. Management does an amazing job of encouraging growth, but it also requires a positive attitude, patience and hard work on my end. I've never seen anyone that is a positive, hard worker be held back from an opportunity.

Cons

No cons! I have never been disappointed by something at AppFolio, everything is great.

This is so true - we have many team members across all areas of our company - marketing, sales, QA, Value+ - who have started their career in Customer Success. We do reward hard work and great contributions with career growth and I'm happy to hear that you see that in action.

Pros

Frequent team outings and social events that help build relationships across the team. Generally a friendly, social environment!

Cons

The property management team is highly competitive when it comes to promotions, and I’ve seen BDRs remain in the same seat for years or eventually leave, as internal advancement opportunities can be limited. However, for top performers, there is promising upside, and you get to work with some of the best leaders in the organization. On the investment management team, leadership quality is more uneven, and there appears to be a lack of management experience, which has created gaps in coaching, accountability, and overall team development. As a result, performance outcomes have lagged, with the majority of BDRs and AEs struggling to consistently hit target. Team turnover has also been notably high, and leadership engagement only increased after a large portion of the team had already decided to leave, which by that point felt too late to rebuild morale or trust.
