Great students to work with but Administration does not value staff - Student Services - Management Appalachian State Employee Review

Staff members are not valued by Administration and therefore many systems and procedures are not well run because Administrators are faculty members who don't have any real world perspective. Morale is very low and poor managers do not hold people accountable, Poor morale is contagious! Staff pay is a good 25% below that of comparable universities while faculty pay is above, this reflects how staff members are valued and should be a warning. Patriarchal environment, women beware
