Pros

They understood that I was a student, and allowed me to work very flexible hours. They provided fair compensation for the work I did. My department was a small team of mostly student employees, and it was a very friendly atmosphere.

Cons

There is very little upward mobility, but that's to be expected for student employment opportunities. The technology I worked with was a bit old and well used.

Pay is low, won't cover living in Boone.

Pros

People are nice generally, but I find that to be true only the lower down the hierarchy you go.

Cons

Leadership, especially the closer you get to the upper administration, tends to be wildly out of touch, has little to no supervisory skill, and seems to lack basic human compassion.
