Pros

Amazing Benefits Amazing opportunities to buy Apple Products Highly competitive salary Lots of growth potential Your ability to get promoted depends on the work you put into your development, not on arbitrary requirements that change based on how the leadership wants people to get promoted. Strong culture A very selective hiring process that strongly considers diversity and how well you will fit into the culture of the team You will work with some of the smartest and most talented people you have ever worked with, and you will be consistently driven to be the best. This is a great environment if you are looking to grow and learn, and challenge yourself every day. This is not a job where you just show up every day, do the bare minimum, and expect to do whatever you want.

Cons

Has become a very numbers-driven environment. Working at Apple Retail used to be about doing what is best for the customer first, and the numbers will follow. Now it is more about how much you can attach and how many people you can help without spending too much time with one person. Extremely high demand for technical staff with heavy limitations on the number of people that can be seen in a day. Many customers have come to expect that we will say yes to any request, and now we have to say no a lot more than we can say yes if the request is out of scope. There is no system in place to help people with educational questions or one-offs without having them sign up for a group class or forcing them to contact support over the phone. Many of the customer issues we face are created by improper expectations set by carrier stores or online support that gave incorrect or incomplete advice. Customers are routinely promised they can walk in and get help right away, and are completely blindsided when they are told they need to wait an hour or longer for a walk-in appointment. At the end of the day, it is a retail environment, and if you don't like working with people and dealing with people who will find something to complain about, this is not the right job for you.

Pros

We work with geniuses - in every department, We create innovative products that thrill our customers and create new product categories - who else can say that?

Cons

ZERO ZERO ZERO work/life balance. Execs have been saying for YEARS that they understand and will make it better. But in actuality, it gets worse every year! It is obviously top management LIP SERVICE because if they meant it, they could fix it tomorrow. They have hundreds of BILLIONS in the bank. If they REALLY cared about employee work/life balance, they could bring aboard the right number of folks to make that issue dissolve. Sick of hearing the lies. Just don't lie about wanting to fix it, when they clearly DON'T care
