Pros
For me, Apple Retail was a great start to new and next steps. Yearly EDU allowance. Decent Pay. Discounts. Stock Options, do the full 6%, don't touch it.
Cons
Don't get stuck there, specialize in something and get out. Too many managers holding iPads and redirecting conversations, not willing to roll their sleeves up and find out. Competing priorities, and leaderboard leads to toxic work environment. Politics and personal favors, leading to notions, bias and silo'd groups. I met senior leaders, regional directors that had zero passion for why retail stores are even in the community. Zero interest in my experience or systems we were using to make improvements. All programmed from the top-down.
