Way under paid!!! - Server Assistant Applebee's Employee Review

Absolutely under paid for doing the most. We would be sitting tables, cleaning all of the tables without the servers pre-cleaning them all, and expected to run their food. I’ve been working in the industry for much longer than that now and hostesses at other places get paid 15/hr plus a tip out now and are only expected to seat tables now!! There is no reason for server assistants to have to do all of that extra stuff while only making 4.50 an hour plus a SMALL tip out from the servers. Of course you always made a minimum of minimum wage a shift, but it was rarely anything over. We were paid significantly under industry standard.
