Pros
Management was nice (for the most part) and the menu is very easy to learn
Cons
Although I got along with management, they were terrible at running the place. No gratuity with large groups, and the guests would typically leave a very small tip or nothing at all. A lot of them were extremely rude as well and I was just expected to put up with it. On weekends, the place would typically get packed. I started off as a Host before serving, and my first day on the floor we were short-staffed and got cursed out by so many customers because they saw open tables, but I had to make them aware we didn't have enough servers to take care of them so they had to be put on a very long wait list. Sometimes even over an hour. Well they didn't accept that as an answer and I had to pay the price and be talked down to. On top of that, the servers all went off on me saying stop seating people, so I was getting it from both ways and the managers wouldn't say anything. So, as far as when I got to serving, there was an average amount of time the food SHOULD take, but 95% of the time it took much longer, sometimes 3x as long. So again, guess who got blamed for it? I even had some people insult me and say I need to learn how to move faster, and I explained to them the kitchen is backed up and I will bring it out asap, but then again it didn't matter and my managers would see this and said not to argue with them. On that note, I suggested that since we were short-staffed we should at least maybe put up a sign saying that we have limited seating so we can somewhat avoid that. But they just insisted we have to seat every person who walks through the door. On that note, it affected my tips as well. Not only that, but this is the first serving job where it happened multiple times a day that people wouldn't tip. Plus they're always having deals. Especially the 2 for 25 which is year round, so everyone went with that. So sometimes I would be lucky to even get $5. My typical shift would start at 4pm, and we were open until midnight, but they would sit people down at 11:59 and let them stay until 2. And I would still not get a tip, meaning I was there 2 extra hours for no reason... All in all, not worth it at all.
