Pros

Applied leadership works first at creating a fantastic culture that makes each person feel like an individual contributor toward a greater goal. There is an equal emphasis on both having fun but meeting goals. You are held accountable and supported by your manager. Leadership has your back. Pay for my role was industry average. Other reviews mentioned low pay but everyone has their idea of what is fair. I never felt over-worked or given unreasonable expectations to work crazy hours as a salaried individual. During COVID, I mostly felt safe when I had to be at an office. Leadership identified paths to growth during the pandemic which ended up saving jobs versus having to lay off. Applied knows how to adapt to whatever economy, market or scenario it finds itself in!

Cons

Health benefits were limited. Offered from a company I had never heard of prior to working there so you were sometimes fighting to get claims paid that weren't preventative. Per-paycheck premiums were expensive, compared to other employees in Michigan. Quarterly company meetings felt mostly about recognizing sales and service and while rightfully so, it would have been nice to see back office and support staff be recognized with more than just a five year, ten year award, etc. If you were non-sales, the bonus program was not all that great unless you worked there a super long time. There was a long-held philosophy that we needed to do most of our work "at work" versus working from home, despite being a technology focused company. Some allowances were made for COVID but the conversation was always around getting people back in the office.
