All management (at all levels) have very little experience outside of Applied, so managers are managing team members that should be in the reverse positions. Moreover, the company seems to be operating as if the year was 1999. Emails are responded to in full and complete sentences with greetings and salutations. This is incredibly inefficient and negates any speed by which problems are addressed.
Many female managers work part time and do not come in Fridays so the work week is technically 4 days long., and everyone knows it.
There is absolutely no gratitude for those individuals who are driven and competent to perform. For those who can, more tasks are given, but for those who cannot less tasks are provided with equal pay.
There is no correlation between capability, work quantity/quality, and seniority or pay. The mantra for the company is: head down, years of service, you will move up.
The entire company, in particular Clinical Development, is completely averse to change (even if mandated through regulatory bodies). All team members would prefer to not do their work in full and get reprimanded by federal entities rather than do what is required in the first place.
