Pros

Experience if you're just graduating out of High School and living at home (so your parents can still support you).

Cons

Poor management; poor wages; poor benefits; only hire family members; family members stick together; no performance reviews or wage increases; extremely tight with their finances; invest in buildings without investing in their employee's; go with the flow or you're terminated; must speak and understand Spanish or you are an outcast. A lot of politics and favoritism. Huge turnover in employees. In addition, they're not the most friendly people. Employee's don't speak and are on 'edge' on a daily basis. In my 30+ years of being in the corporate world, I have never worked in an envorinment such as this. The employees are miserable and consists mostly of teenagers of family members. If you are not a family member, you are considered an outcast and you will be treated as such. It's sad because the company is strong and they have an excellent product line. They are clueless otherwise. Not very professional and lack experience. No Integrity. I can not wait to find decent employment elsewhere.

Pros

Lots of opportunities for growth and exposure to all varieties of the medical device lifecycle. Vertical integration is truly special for this and you will become a better engineer at this company. Overall positive culture, I have a friendly relationship with my management and I've enjoyed working with virtually all my peers.

Cons

Pay is lower than market average and you will need to put in more than what you'll get. There is also ambiguity on the metrics management assesses team member growth for promotions or pay increases. Work/life balance can get rough particularly in R&D depending on the project.
