Pros
The pros and cons really depend on the team you're on. -For my team, it was a very relaxed work environment. -Company is willing to hire fresh college graduates and the pay is okay for a fresh college graduate.
Cons
- Turnover is incredibly high so if someone from your team leaves you're tasked to take on more work. I asked a team member about turnover and when he started 45%-50% of the team left due to better job offers. When I started the same thing happened 50% of the team left. -The pay entering mid-career is crap. After a bit of time at the company, you're better off finding another offer. I found another job that paid 25% more than my current pay. -Lack of mentorship. Something that was promised to me was mentorship during my interview. Over the past 12 months, I have not received any mentorship. The only mentorship I have received was when I put in my notice and they tried convincing me to stay by talking about opportunities that didn't exist -Lack of opportunity. In order for you to move to another team, I was told that your manager had to give the okay. Unfortunately, you might never be able to move onto another team if your manager won't let you.
