Pros

Fine place to start out of college. Stay for max of 1-2 years. Low to no work at times so you can just take unofficial time off.

Cons

Low pay. Convoluted, archaic business practices. Upper management cares only about bottom line. For a company that prides themselves on change they do NOT change process and will not listen to advice on how to do so. While they’ve never done a “lay off”, they force people to resign by only offering 5% raises for title changes and inflation.

Pros

Lots of opportunities for growth and exposure to all varieties of the medical device lifecycle. Vertical integration is truly special for this and you will become a better engineer at this company. Overall positive culture, I have a friendly relationship with my management and I've enjoyed working with virtually all my peers.

Cons

Pay is lower than market average and you will need to put in more than what you'll get. There is also ambiguity on the metrics management assesses team member growth for promotions or pay increases. Work/life balance can get rough particularly in R&D depending on the project.
