Pros

Good culture that generally respects employees. Convincing mission built on reducing the overall cost of medical devices. Excellent experience for new engineers. Lots of young engineers from all over the country makes it a great place to meet people if you're just starting out. They do have a little cafeteria/shop that was great and not terribly expensive.

Cons

Pay is well-below the market rate for the area. Health insurance seemed decent, but other tangible benefits are lacking. PQE role in particular was a repetitive grind that lost its growth opportunities, but it is a good way to get your foot in the door to move to other roles, assuming you perform well, and those other engineering roles can really expand your skillset rapidly. Middle management and most staff is usually relatively inexperienced, owing to the pay that can't retain talent.
