Pros

The people- the size of the company means you really get to know everyone The work- The jobs you get to work on are really neat and pretty influential

Cons

Location- The office is pretty old and I think a larger, newer space would attract a lot more employees.

Thanks so much for the nice words! I know what you mean about the office, the old building is what comes with being here on the water in Northport village. In order to get something newer we'd be stuck moving out to Route 110 or Hauppague or something, and I just like it better being in a nice little village. As you can see, we're finally able to spruce up the place a bit (I know it's taking a long time, but it's hard to do without disturbing people), and we do have the newer satellite office up the street. If you have ideas on how to make this place better, please do come see me to brainstorm.

I started my career at Applied Visions fresh out of school and spent nearly two decades growing with the company. I had the opportunity to work on MANY interesting and exciting projects and learned a tremendous amount about the business and art of building software. The CEO, Frank, was always supportive and genuinely listened to my career goals, making it a place where I could chart my own course. The company strikes a great balance between being small enough to allow for diverse experiences across different parts of the business, yet large enough to work with major clients on impactful projects. It’s a great place for someone looking to build a long-term career and develop a wide range of skills.

Workload can ebb and flow depending on project cycles.
