Pros

Northport is a nice area. There is a dog park near by and some nice places to eat. Nothing positive about the company.

Cons

Benefits are non existent, No one seems to be honest with each other, Building is falling apart, Very poor management and training.

Applied Visions Response

Considering that this poster admonishes us to "try to be honest" and accuses us of fraud, we must respond. First, we do not "fake reviews": I doubt Glassdoor would be as successful as it is were it possible for companies to do so. Second, this poster did not work here for "more than a year": he was here a little more than three months. (We know because this post uses the same words as a much lengthier and more detailed post that he recently deleted). As to our building, well, it happens to be a 140-year-old structure in a quaint old village on the north shore of Long Island, so it does require a bit more care than your typical office park. But we find that to be part of its charm.

Pros

I started my career at Applied Visions fresh out of school and spent nearly two decades growing with the company. I had the opportunity to work on MANY interesting and exciting projects and learned a tremendous amount about the business and art of building software. The CEO, Frank, was always supportive and genuinely listened to my career goals, making it a place where I could chart my own course. The company strikes a great balance between being small enough to allow for diverse experiences across different parts of the business, yet large enough to work with major clients on impactful projects. It’s a great place for someone looking to build a long-term career and develop a wide range of skills.

Cons

Workload can ebb and flow depending on project cycles.
