Pros

I worked for a company that was acquired by Aptean. -Good work-life balance -Competitive salary -Didn't fire all (just some) of my coworkers

Cons

-Told us first day of acquisition that employee retention would be very high and then laid off about 1/3 of our company over the first year -Constantly shifting organizational structure - they rearrange departments and responsibilities incredibly frequently - both within our company and at the upper management corporate level -Rapid growth almost solely through acquisition leads to a lot of internal inefficiencies. It's hard for everything to run smoothly as a cohesive business when you acquire 5 companies per year -We had to switch to all their systems and process flows which were much less effective than ours. Namely we had to use their core CRM system Pivotal which they all admitted was terrible and then said there was nothing that could be done about it -Cut virtually all R&D which asks the question of what is the future of the company and product -Management either is very out of touch with employees or simply doesn't care -Health care plan was terrible and there was only 1 option

I appreciate you sharing your perspective about the experience that you and some of your co-workers have gone through. Your feedback is taken to heart and we do care. We are certainly not perfect, but our intent is truly to align our teams to be able to deliver great products/solutions, services and support to our customers. We may have less resources working on some activities, but our approach for doing so is to become more effective at how we deliver and how quickly we can meet the needs of our customers. To set ourselves up to achieve this, we also need to have our entire company using the same systems and processes, which requires moving our acquired businesses to the Aptean platform. However, we are very focused on improving our processes and our systems, as how we have designed them does not always support our evolving business model and our acquired businesses have a lot of input into this. I really appreciate you voicing your thoughts so that we can continue to be mindful of how we handle future transitions and the resulting difficult decisions we may have to make.

Pros

Great environment, the culture is truely incresible

Cons

Slight last of confidence in the future. Recent re-orgs, very single threaded in critical support areas, and ambiguity around when functionalities/tech will be launch give a bit of concern.

Pros

The salary is good if you negotiate at entry into the company. They also have a good bonus structure when you hit the marks and get it. People in product and services are generally good people.

Cons

Raises are almost non-existent, if you get promoted, it is almost as if you didn't get a raise. Being in services is almost like living under a rock, you will not get visibility in any other area of the company. Extremely HIGH turnover in consultants and leadership. Not somewhere I would recommend somewhere who wants to learn and continuously grow in their career in the long term.
