Pros
There are still some good employees and customers left. I think they might now pay for your ink cartridge.
Cons
As long as Vista Equity Group owns the company this will be a horrible place for employees and customers. For employees that means a base pay minus activity charges (is this legal?) and a 40 page commission plan that only guarantees that you won't make any money. If you earn some commission, which is pretty unlikely since you will only have a small amount of existing customers to sell to and no chance in hell selling this old software at top dollar to new customers; don't expect to paid on them. They will figure out a way to screw you out of them after months of excuses and delays. If you want potential employers that you are/will be interviewing with to laugh and feel sorry for you make sure to tell them about some of the other VSOP's like deal desk (where a sales rep pleads his case on a once a week call asking for some common sense from upper management), long term contracts, IBOP, the solution selling training being taught by somebody that knows nothing about it or the software industry, etc, etc, etc. I could go on and on. For customers it is simple- you will pay lots for little to nothing!!! Don't give up YOUR leverage and sign a long term agreement, buy another system from one of many competitors that there are in this industry.
