Pros
The company started out with a lot of good people to work with, who are both competent and engaging. A good portfolio of good products to work with.
Cons
There is no direction of where products are headed; there is not, and has never been a clear road map communicated to the employees. The disconnect between upper management and their employees is a giant chasm which the company and its products are slowly crumbling into the abyss. If you don't work in one of the core offices, then you don't matter to the company; even if you are a valuable employee with a large skill set. There is zero innovation being fostered at this company; the products are more or less stuck in maintenance mode and will continue to deteriorate and enter obsolescence. Simple concepts such as sufficient manpower with the right skills and knowledge being required to complete projects seem to be foreign concepts to upper management. Over obsession with metrics and bureaucracy; little focus on product advancement and vision.
