Pros

Aptive Environmental promises many great things including great pay, plentiful and flexible hours, and a great work environment.

Cons

The secretive parts of those pros I mentioned are that they don't tell you specifics to almost anything at all unless you ask for it. This is the third position I've held at Aptive in 2 months. They don't tell you the fine print until it's too late and now I'm in debt to them $2,400 and feel like I'm getting punished for doing/not doing little things that I didn't even know I was supposed to do/not do. And it's the same with the customers. They lure them in with great expectations and promises only to bind them into a contract and give terrible customer service to nearly every customer. I've had to deal with so many stories from complaining customers and they most all have one thing in common - they can never get in touch with Aptive again after they sign the contract. It's like Aptive looks at them as money bags rather than real people who actually need help protecting their home from invading pests. Get them to sign up, then forget about them. I don't know if it's the policies and procedures that Aptive uses, or if they just don't hire the right people who genuinely and patiently care for their customers, but I personally would never receive Aptive's services at my home because I know I wouldn't be treated well.

Pros

Pay and overtime is great, management is decent, you run your own show- upsell, identify pest problems, know your chemicals, different methods, request inventory products

Cons

It's a lot of hours in summer. You will hate spiderwebs. I enjoy seeing many beautiful gardens and getting to know the local wasps, birds, and lizards- but it's not for everyone. Don't trust everything management says, and bring up issues early and with tact.
