Pros

Absolutely insane money. Unbeatable. The support for growth is amazing as well. Huge upsides.

Cons

I have loved working for Aptive. But this has been SHOCKING how the ownership has tried to screw the sales guys. The company made crazy changes this year in order to improve retention. Changes that have made it harder to sell but with promises that we would make more money because our accounts would stick. Turns out our retention is WORSE this year. But the worst part of the whole thing is that Vess insists on not paying the reps on accounts that are still paying for their pest control because they are not ideal customers and not as likely to continue to pay for the service going into year two. The ownership says they will pay us on these accounts but not until after the sixth service. I have hear Vess say with my own ears that most customers cancel between 5th and 6th service. This is outrageous and is a stab in the back to the sales reps.

Grateful for your feedback. Retention is our #1 goal. We are aware that there are some limitations with customers and unqualified accounts. This is why it was so important to us to remind our reps of these changes many times throughout the summer of this new policy (specifically, if you sell a blue pin, you will not be paid out on it until July). *The good news is only 3% OF ALL ACCTS SOLD WERE BLUE PINS. On average, that’s about 5 blue pin accts per rep. If for some reason, you or your reps choose to sell a much higher proportion of blue pins, then yes, you would be affected more than the average rep. Pros

Pay and overtime is great, management is decent, you run your own show- upsell, identify pest problems, know your chemicals, different methods, request inventory products

Cons

It's a lot of hours in summer. You will hate spiderwebs. I enjoy seeing many beautiful gardens and getting to know the local wasps, birds, and lizards- but it's not for everyone. Don't trust everything management says, and bring up issues early and with tact.
