Pros

Aquent provides good access to quality roles at quality companies like Northwestern Mutual. The benefits are very competitive, including a good amount of paid time off (if you are salaried, not hourly) from the start. Every two years, another week is added.

Cons

As consultants, you don't always feel connected to other Aquent consultants, even when located at the same facility. The local management has recently had a complete turn-over. It's looking like a positive change, but it's still to be seen. As with any staffing (staff augmentation) company, opportunities are limited to what can be found at other companies. The number of clients is somewhat limited (too many eggs in one basket). As with many other staffing companies, there's not much of a bench.

Pros

Some nice intelligent educated coworkers

Cons

Lack of transperancy, job placement wages stagnant for over 5 years with no raise, after finishing multiple contracts and bringing them thousands of dollars with my labor, no follow up on new positions. Finally contacted me about one position I would be perfect for then ghosted me. Blatant ageism using words like "junior" or "great position for recent grad". Had one horrific experience with them where they reached out to me to work on a team that loved me/loved my work - when I inquired if there was any flexibility in the pay, was suddenly told I wasn't qualified. Then I see the same listing reposted as "junior" and great for a recent grad.
