Pros

The only positives are the benefits. Good pay, gas card, and car allowance.

Cons

I was promised 10 weeks of training and only had three before being thrown on a route. It's impossible to do the job I was hired for when I am doing someone else's on top of mine and now I've been stuck on various routes for almost a year because upper management is slow to hire new employees. Production is constantly behind, often sending out more late garments than clean. There's a constant struggle between management and union members because everyone thinks they're being treated unfairly. The unethical price increases and process of picking and choosing which customers get the price increases are causing more and more lost business. As a manager, you have no chance of obtaining your bonus because you cannot visit customers to perform quality control on the accounts.

Pros

Company culture is great if you're at a location with decent human beings and I definitely felt supported by those with the same career path. If you're at the right location the experience can be good. There was a focus on career development at the first location I worked at. Unfortunately this was overshadowed by the lack of respect and utter disdain for my role at the second one. The first place lost their contract due to internal politics- the second one probably won't but they should.

Cons

GREATLY depends on local management. The first place I worked was amazing, at the second I was constantly treated to ableist microaggressions and literally told to shut up in a meeting where both the Director and a senior manager were present, and told "no one likes me" in a meeting WHERE HR WAS PRESENT. Extremely unprofessional behavior. They will NOT back you up, and it's very clear regional management doesn't care if a location is hemorrhaging staff due to poor management practices as long as they get paid and keep the "client" happy.
